Abstract£º Ar+, Nd:YAG laser were used to irradiate Platymonas subcordiformis, one kind of algal. The biology effect induced by laser was studied through measuring cell number and the quantity of chlorophyll. The absorption spectroscopy of chlorophyll was got to find the difference between control group and laser irradiation groups. The results of the experiment show that different laser can produce similar result, the laser which isn't chlorophyll's absorption peak can also induce biological result and Ar+ 20 min radiation group and Nd:YAG 2 min radiation group can make Platymonas subcordiformis grow faster and improve the capability of absorbing light of chlorophyll. Some discussion was made to compare the biological effect induced by different laser.
