Abstract: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising new treatment for cancer that has been recently accepted in the clinic, in which sensitizer followed by irradiation induce generation of ROS. ROS kill the tumor cell, and cell apoptosis is the main means of cell demise. In this paper, the death-receptor ¡¢mitochondria and -mediated apoptosis signaling pathways have been summarized.
