Abstract: The sequence of the Vitellogenin which contains 5270 bases and an open reading frame which contains 5334 bases was identified in the Antheraea yamamai. The 1778 amino acids concluding gasignal peptide of 15 amino acids were encoded by the ORF. The results of the homology analysis suggested the amino acid and base sequence of the Vg be highly conserved between Antherea peryni and Antherea yamamai. As far as the N-liked glycosylation site was concerned , there were 4 sites in A.peryni while A.yamamai and B.mori were 5 sites. In the N-terminal domain, the poly-serregions and RSRR sites recognized by proteinase except for A.peryni. In the C-terminaldomain, the majority of the insects had 7-10 Cys from the function site GICG to the end of C-terminal and there were 7 Cysirrespe ctivelyin A.peryni, A.yamamai, B.mori and L.dispar.
