Abstract: The investigation of biological tissue ablation by different lasers in a broad spectrum is of fundamental importance to the understanding of laser-tissue interaction and developing the new surgical applications of lasers. the ablation threshold and its variation as a function of wavelength for several lasers play main roles in the field of laser surgery. In this article, the physical description of ablation threshold was presented and its dependences on the wavelength of various lasers were also discussed.
