Breed of Phenol-degrading microorganism with N+ Ion induced mutation

PANG Xiao-kun, CAO De-ju*£¬HUA Ri-mao (College of Resource and Environment, Anhui Agricultural University, Hefei, 230036,Anhui)

Abstract: From the active sludge taken from the coke wastewater disposal plant of Hefei steel plant, several phenol degrading strains were domesticated and screened as original strains. Through mutation using ion beam, an effective degeneration strain KE2 was obtained. Comparing to original strain KE, its ability of degradation is distinctly improved. When the temperature is about 30”ę and the pH is 7.5, the growth and performance of phenol degrading are best. Moreover, suitable concentration of supplementary carbon source (Glucose) can promote the growth and phenol degrading rate of KE2.
