Abstract£ºStrain Ma83 of M.anisopliae with high chitinase activity was selected from strains of entomogenous fungi . The result of the studies on conditions of chitinase production of strain Ma83 in liquid fermentation showed that colloidal chitin and glucose were the best carbon sources. NaNO3 was optimum nitrogen source. Initial pH at 6.0 and temperature of 28¡æ were the most suitable conditions for chitinase production . Addition of Vitamin C increased chitinase synthesis. Orthogonal experiment show that the optimal media composition was NaNO3 1g/L, colloidal chitin 0.6g/L, yeast extract 0.05g/L, Glucose 0.10g/L Under optimal conditions, maximum chitinase activity reached 8.1U/ml after being cultured for 6 days .
