Abstract: To establish a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the content of fluvastatin sodium extended-released tablets．The chromatographic system consisted of SHIMADZU CLC-ODS (150 mm╳6.0mm,5μm)column and mobile phase of acetonitrile-water-acetic acid (380︰120︰0.2) with a detection wavelength at 234 nm. There was a good liner within the ranger of 41 μg/mL ~ 328 μg/mL（r = 0.9998）, The mean recovery was 100.5 % , RSD (relative standaral deviation) = 0.5 %（n=9）．The method was simple, accurate, sensitive．
