Abstract: Objective: To observe the efficacy and racurrence of ultrapulse CO2 laser combined with heparin sodium in the treatment of xanthelasma palpebrarum. Methods: The experimental group of 77 cases was treated with combined treatment, and establish only using ultrapulse CO2 laser/only intradermal injection of heparin sodium as control groups. Results: The total effective rate of the experimental group was 96.1 % and 78.5 %¡¢86.2 % in the control group. The racurrence rate of the experimental group was 2.3 % and 24.3 %¡¢22.2 % in the control group. There was a significant difference of the efficacy and racurrence between the experimental group and drug group (P < 0. 01).The racurrence rate of experimental group was lower than that in laser group. Conclusion: It is effective and safty for ultrapulse CO2 laser combined with heparin sodium in the treatment of xanthelasma palpebrarum.
