How to schedule a task on VisualSniffer? Scheduler lets you schedule regular capturing tasks. The program is a front-end interface to Microsoft Scheduler. To add a task to the scheduler from the Scheduler program, from the Tools menu, select Add Task. The Scheduler Properties dialog appears.
Select the start date and time, and end date and time.
Task Name - The name of the task file.
Select the Adapter that you want to capture packets. Enter filter expression (optional). Define where you want to save the captured data. Select the frequency of this scheduled task. The Username and Password if exists boxes and options are optional depending on your computer and personal preferences.
Click OK to add the task to the list.To view scheduled items, select the Tools -> Schduler menu. The Scheduler window shows all queued tasks and their status. The tasks are listed from top to bottom in the order in which they were added to the list. For each task, the Scheduler window shows the following information:
Task Name - The name of the task file.
Next Run Time - The date and time the task is scheduled to be run.
Last Status - The status of the task.
How to setup filter? In the "Option" dialog, enter a filtering expression in the "Filter" field. VisualSniffer uses the libpcap filter language for capture filters.
