HealthWatch Pro is designed for pediatricians and health professionals in clinical and research settings.
It can be used to process and manage health data, including height, weight, waist, head circumference,
arm circumference, subscapular skinfold, triceps skinfold, blood pressure, and more...
It can calculate growth percentiles (both CDC and WHO) for infants, children and adolescents (2 to 20 years); blood pressure percentiles for children (under 17);
and BMI for children and adults. HealthWatch Pro can also evaluate underweight and overweight, identify metabolic syndrome and calculate risk for having a heart attack using the algorithms from Adult Treatment Panel III.
Tools are provided to plot data against test time or other variables, import/export data from Excel, and allow input/output of a wider range of data.
The current version of HealthWatch Pro is 5.0 (release date 06/18/2013). The main changes in 5.0 are the followings:
Add growth charts for Achondroplasia and Down’s syndrome, including Height, Weight, BMI and Head Circumference for Age Charts for Children with Achondroplasia, and Height, Weight, and Head Circumference for Age Charts for Children with Down’s syndrome.
Redesign database structure and allow connecting to a local Access database or a remote SQL server database via ODBC so as to enhance data sharing and increase scalability. Provide Data Conversion tool to convert data from previous version and transfer data from local database to remote database.
Add Sorting and Filtering functions. Filtering allows you to display only data that meets certain criteria. On the Filter view, you can execute a basic descending or ascending sort based on one column. The Context menu of the Filter view provides functions of copy/paste to Excel sheet, save to a file, and print. The Export tool also provides option for exporting filtered data to Excel sheet.
Introduce new data fields so that users can enter data, such as Father's Stature, Mother's Stature, Gestational Age and Comments showing on CDC charts.

Easy-to-use: The application's pleasing, intuitive interface allows you to input information such as your name, age, gender, weight, height, blood pressure, and cholesterol level. Once you enter all data and hit the Save and Calculate button, HealthWatch will generate facts such as growth percentiles, your BMI and risk of heart attack.
Showing and printing growth charts: HealthWatch Pro can show and print all growth charts published by CDC, and automatically add patient's information on growth charts.
This feature dramatically saves your times in data analysis with growth charts. HealthWatch Pro allows plotting growth data so as to show the changes against time, or the relationships among growth variables.
Providing summary report: HealthWatch Pro shows data and calculating results in a summary report with HTML format. This allows you to share your report with others easily.
Managing data with database: HealthWatch Pro saves data in a MS Access database. It also provides data management functionalities, such as export, delete, navigate, and import. You can also use tools provided by MS Access to manage data and create reports.
Strong calculating power: HealthWatch Pro can calculate growth percentiles for infants, children and adolescents (2 to 20 years); blood pressure percentiles for children (under 17); and BMI for children and adults. HealthWatch Pro can also evaluate underweight and overweight, identify metabolic syndrome and calculate risk for having a heart attack using the algorithms from Adult Treatment Panel III.
To install HealthWatch Pro, unzip the file HealthWatchPro.zip, and then run HealthWatchPro.msi. The same downloads can be used to either try as a free demo*, to install your paid copy, or to update your current version.
Note: If you are updating to HealthWatch Pro 5.0 from previous version, you can convert data into version 5.0 using "Tool->Data Conversion...".
* The software is fully functional in Demo mode. You simply can't save your data, you'll have to start over if you close it.
To Setup a remote database, HealthWatch Pro 5.0 allows you to save data in a local Access database or a remote database. By default, HealthWatch Pro connects to a local database located in the installed target folder, e.g. “C:\HealthWatch Pro 5.0\data\recorddata50.mdb”. You can use the “Connect to a database” dialog (click on the “Connect” button to pop up this dialog) for connecting to other local database files or remote database.
Before you can connect to a remote database, you need to create a database in the database server for HealthWatch Pro. Please follow instructions from various database servers to create the database. You also need to create various tables in the database, please download sample SQL scripts here for creating tables in SQL server. You may need to modify these SQL scripts for the database you created or for other database servers. In your local machine, you need to create an ODBC data source from which to read data. To connect a remote database, select "File->Connect…" menu from the menu bar or click on the “Connect" button on the toolbar. In the “Connect to a database” dialog, check “Connect to a remote database via ODBC data source” option, and then enter Login ID, Password and the ODBC data source.
To uninstall HealthWatch Pro,
