Study on the correlation between IL-10 promoter,IL-1ra gene polymorphism and SLE in Chinese Han population of Hunan province

Abstract: Objective: To study on the gene polymorphisms of interleukin-10 (IL-10) promoter and interluekin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra) in the Han nationality of Hunan and test the correlation between these genes and Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. Methods:polymerase chain reaction and restriction enzyme cleavage were used to analyze the gene polymorphisms. Results :There are gene polymorphisms in IL-1ra and IL-10 promoter in the Hunan Han groups.IL-1RN*1 frequency of SLE patients increased significantly (P( 0.05, RR = 5) than that of normal controls.
