VisualSniffer is now available with full source code under the terms of the BSD License. VisualSniffer is a packet capture tool and protocol analyzer (sometime called packet sniffer or ip sniffer) for Windows
system. VisualSniffer can be used by LAN administrators, and security professionals for network fault analysis, performance analysis, intrusion detection, and network traffic logging. It can also be used by network programmers, or others to get a full picture of the network traffic.

The primary goals of the open source project of VisualSniffer is to allow talented experts in the networking community can add enhancements or fix bugs for VisualSniffer. Developers can modify and redistribute VisualSniffer under the terms of the BSD License. The source code of VisualSniffer can be downloaded from biovisualtech.com the website of BVTech, Inc.
VisualSniffer uses the excellent WinPcap 3.0 driver developed by NetGroup, Politecnico di Torino (Italy) and its contributors. To make VisualSniffer work, you need to install WinPCap 3.0 in your computer. The installation program of VisualSniffer includes the WinPCap 3.0.
VisualSniffer is writen in Visual C++ 6.0 with MFC and ProUI library (included).
